Cleo Yong has been teaching musicians of all ages and abilities since 2015. Cleo studied at the University of Victoria, having both a bachelor’s degree in Violin Orchestral Studies (2022) and, more recently, an MA in Musicology (2024). As part of her music education, Cleo studied and performed both the violin and viola. Cleo enjoys guiding her students in their musical learning adventure and sets achievable practice goals to maintain steady improvement.
Cleo teaches violin, viola, fiddle, theory and beginner piano at our Langford location.
Cleo's rate is $32 per lesson.

The objective of this course is for students to have fun while expanding their knowledge and skills in music. This course will focus on internalizing grooves and understanding their rhythmic notation, recognizing common chord progressions and how to use them to learn easy, fun songs, and developing the confidence and skills essential to jam them when opportunities arise, whether that’s around a campfire or any relaxed type of gathering with friends and family.
Adult course: Every Wednesday from 1:00PM-2:00PM
Kids course: Every Wednesday from 2:30PM-3:30PM
